- I appreciate people who hide tattoos/don’t show them off. Mainly because so that when they do take off their shirt/clothes, you see that big epic piece of ink and are just flabbergasted. For example, in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (fuck you I like that book), one of the main characters , Chris, has a huge mural of Jesus on his chest. He doesn’t parade it around wearing beaters and such. It’s only after Pippa really gets to know him does he take off his shirt, and there it is. Also kind of like how the Yakuza have full body tattoos that are usually covered with suits and such.
